Stress Over

Event complete. Stress over for the moment. Unexpectedly large success (I'd forgotten what those were like).

A day to recover, and then back to the Junta. And football. Or, as the Patriots are taking on water rather quickly, possibly NBA.

How about that Paul Pierce?

Congratulations on event - no reason to give up on the Pats just yet. Shanahan definitely seems to have the Pats number, but there are a few positives coming out of that game. First, Dillon is banged up, which means more Maroney (its time to pass the torch - Maroney is the REAL deal). Second, Gabriel looked pretty good, which means they have C Jackson and Gabriel as decent starting wideouts to go along with the best TE unit in the league and a potential top 5 running back in Maroney. Bet the Colts are wishing they could have traded up.

The defense is going to be tough all year and they are one of the few teams in the league that is able to get a consistent push from the front 4 to get a pash rush without blitzing.

I still like the Branch trade- they could certainly use him right now, but he is not a top 10 receiver and they managed to get a first round pick, which is pretty amazing considering Javon Walker Culpepper and TO were all recently traded for 2nd round picks.

Thanks! It's nice to have it over with. Now I only have two job interviews next week...

I'm still in favor of the Branch trade as well, and I do have hope for the WR's this season. I worry about the secondary - how are they giving up all these big pass plays? Did Mangini take the secret to pass defense with him to NY? I imagine Chad Johnson is pretty keen to play these guys.

Maroney is the real thing, and it will be exciting to see what he can do with 25 carries.

I'm a bit worried about Brady. He doesn't seem quite himself. I've put it down to lack of targets, but I wonder if there's not another secret injury there.
